Gunners are the primary units for the Consortium. While they are the weakest of their race, they only cost 60 Xenodium. As you might have know, gunners are ranged units (apparently none of the Consortium are melee). If they are sent to fight alone, they will be killed the moment they set foot, so its better to send them in large groups, then they can even withstand a Battlemite. Gunners are comparible to marines in Starcraft and have a similar function. They are good all round units and are useful in almost any situation.
